FCAV/UNESP is located in a region distinguished by its high level of entrepreneurship. Agribusiness has developed across several sectors such as citrus, sugarcane, peanuts, soybeans, corn, coffee, horticulture, and rubber trees. This regional vocation has created demand for the implementation of modern agriculture unlinked from purely extractive processes. FCAV/UNESP has already been contributing to changes in the regional and national landscape through internationally important research projects such as the Genome Project and, particularly in the field of Agricultural Entomology, it is a reference in Integrated Pest Management.
