The Master’s and Doctoral students of the Program come from research institutions, public and private universities in Brazil and Latin America, and are qualified for the development of teaching and basic and applied research in Entomology focused on Agricultural Sciences.

Contributing to the internationalization of science.

The Program maintains partnerships with international academic institutions for research conducted in Brazil and in collaboration with other countries. It welcomes students from all continents.

The Graduate Program in Agronomy – Agricultural Entomology (PPGEA) has as its main goal the training of highly competent professionals at the Master’s and Doctoral levels to work in teaching and to develop basic and applied research in the area of Entomology in Agricultural Sciences. The students of PPGEA come from research institutions or public and private universities in Brazil and Latin America.

  • Biological Control of Insects, Mites, and Nematodes (Predators, Parasitoids, and Entomopathogens);
  • Chemical Control of Insects, Mites, and Nematodes, Application Technology and Environmental Fate of Pesticides;
  • Biotechnology and Plant Resistance to Insects, Mites, and Nematodes
