Introdução. Tamanho dos insetos e implicações ecológicas. Ecologia Fisiológica (fatores abióticos). Adaptações sazonais (migração, diapausa). Socialidade dos insetos. Ecologia comportamental (comunicação química e Teoria do forrageamento). Ecologia de comunidade (interação inseto-planta, estresses causados em plantas, competição e interações tróficas). Ecologia de populações (densidade, dispersão, amostragem, potencial biótico, natalidade e mortalidade). Regulação populacional e estrutura etária. Dinâmica de populações (análise e modelagem). Serviços ecossistêmicos. Ecologia aplicada e estratégias para manejo de populações.
